MetaClientTM is a web browser add-in. With MetaClient installed, a web browser gains new capabilities, including: browsing wireless web sites (WAP sites), filtering the HTML of web pages, checking web pages for accessibility mistakes, viewing web pages from the perspective of a search spider, and validating XML documents. Read more about MetaClient, and MetaClient browsers.
MetaClient is not "spyware" and can easily be turned on and off as needed. The MetaClient Add-in beta is available for download. |

New URL's have been added to the developer section. Also, FYI for those participating in the beta, the mailing list will be down for a few days, and we may change the address (since we've started seeing spam appear).

RSS to WML Converter Oct 6 2003 |
If your web site has an RSS feed, you can make it available to mobile phones and PDA's by converting it to WML (Wireless Markup Language) format. MetaClient.com is providing a free web-based tool for this purpose. Our RSS to WML coverter will convert your RSS document into a WML site, and all you have to do is put it on your web site.

Revision 0.95 Oct 1 2003 |
A new revision of the MetaClient Browser Add-in has been released, ( click here to download). In addition to several bug fixes, the new release includes two new browsers- Well-Formedness check and Variable Headers, both of which are intended for developers. Variable Headers can make requests to a webserve with different "User-Agent" and "Accept" request headers, which are determined by the URL.

MetaClient Browser Add-in Beta Sep 17 2003 |
The beta version of the MetaClient Browser Add-in is now available for download. Among other things, the MetaClient Add-in enables Internet Explorer to browse WAP sites. The MCBML format has changed very little since the MetaClient IDE beta, so developers who wrote MCB files can easily tweak them for the Add-in (in fact, usually no tweaking is required at all.)
